Spermidine ingredient exploration For brands & formulation teams

RESEARCH & CONTEXT

Read beyond
the headline.

Evaluate what each study tested, what it found and what it cannot establish.

Separate three levels of evidence

01

Mechanistic research

Laboratory studies can explore biological pathways. They do not by themselves establish a benefit in people.

02

Human research

Read the preparation, population, comparison, primary outcome and limitations together.

03

Product-specific evidence

Confirm that the tested ingredient, chemical form, composition and intended use match the product being evaluated.

SELECTED PUBLISHED STUDY

A 12-month randomized trial

A 2022 study of a spermidine-rich wheat-germ supplement did not show a significant benefit on the primary memory outcome compared with placebo. It evaluated a different preparation, not Dr.SPD.
