APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT
Choose the format.
Build the evidence.
A formulation decision needs more than a chemical name. Bring the grade, process and finished-product conditions into the same review.
Start with the material properties
The supplier TDS describes Dr.SPD as white crystals, readily soluble in water, soluble in 60% alcohol and insoluble in mineral oil. These are qualitative descriptions; the document does not give a solubility concentration or test temperature.
The declared particle-size specification is 95% through 20 mesh, with loss on drying ≤1.0%. Confirm the supplied lot and assess flow, dispersion and moisture handling in your own process.

Read the technical specification ↗Evaluate the actual formula
| Development pathway | Key checks |
|---|---|
| Capsules & tablets | Ingredient loading, excipient compatibility, flow, compression and uniformity |
| Powder blends | Mixing, moisture exposure, taste and packaging |
| Liquid concepts | Solubility at the intended concentration, pH, temperature and processing conditions |
| Every format | Active-content basis, interactions, shelf life and target-market review |
These are evaluation pathways. They do not represent validated Dr.SPD finished-product applications.
Move from a specification to a prototype
- Define the project. Target market, dosage form and desired material grade.
- Review the documents. Confirm composition, analytical basis and relevant safety information.
- Test the prototype. Measure performance, compatibility and stability using the actual formula.
- Confirm the final product. Review labeling, intended use and final acceptance criteria.
